Casale Tancia is the ideal base for those wanting to get back to nature and breathe good clean air! For those who prefer to take it easy, simply enjoying the views is certainly relaxing, but also the ideal subject for both budding or proficient artists.
Those who enjoy walking, whether an easy-ramble through woods or something a little more strenuous, are sure to be enchanted by all that they see along one of the ten marked trails, as quite apart from the beauty of all the vegetation, the sight and sounds of clear spring water streams and rivers that form natural pools and waterfalls, there are protected wild flowers (and fauna too) to look out for too.
One of the trails, marked out by the Boy Scouts, follows the course of a river as it winds through the valley forming several small lakes along the way and the trail ends at a spectacular 10 meter high waterfall.
Other local trails were used by shepherds for centuries as they moved their flock from lower to higher pastures.
The whole area is an uncontaminated natural paradise and you will see countless Poplars, Turkey, Holme and Common Oak Trees, Fir trees, ferns, wild clematis, Hawthorns and much more besides, all of which are home to numerous birds and other wild life.
On request, and subject to season and availability of the “experts”, guests may also go mushrooming in the woods or see a truffle dog at work!
Horse trekking and mountain-bike riding is also available. |
