The agritourism is a working farm that offer accomodation on a B&B, half board and full board basis and also operates as a restaurant for non-residents. It nestles in a small valley situated at a height of 750 m on Mt. Tancia and althought it is not far from the main provincial town of Rieti or the popular market town of Poggio Mirteto, the beautiful natural surroundings and a favourable micro-climate make it the perfect base for walks and nature rambles practically every month of the year.
The family also own and run another eatery nearby, called the Trio which also offers hostel-style accommodation, and have a couple of “mini-apartments” also in the vicinity that can be rented on a self-catering basis.
The farm complex has been totally restructured, but in traditional style totally in keeping with its surroundings.
As a family-run concern, the love and attention paid to even the smallest detail means that guests can be assured of a particularly warm welcome and friendly atmosphere, and hygiene and cleanliness are an absolute priority here.
The family are not only committed to the land and animals they love and care for, about which they are passionate, but they also believe in helping those less fortunate.
As Livio, the head of the family, is a fully-qualified and experienced psychiatric nurse, their particular interest lies with young adults who would find it difficult to integrate into a “typical” working environment.
Several of the Casale's full-time staff have been drawn from this category for many years now, and thanks to the family's understanding attitude, careful supervision and encouragement, these young men and women eventually move on with a far greater sense of self-confidence and independence than they arrived with. |
