A variety of livestock is raised on the property – cattle, pigs, goats, sheep and chickens - along with most of the usual vegetable and salad crops one would expect to find in this part of Italy, so a great many of the strictly fresh seasonal ingredients used in the delicious, traditional farmhouse dishes served arehome-produced and anything else is definitely local!
Wild boar and venison often appear on the menu, whilst soups of all kinds are a particular favourite – often made from a mixture of different cereals, legumes or pulses – along with fresh, home-made pasta too of course.

Other home made products make regular appearances too: from the jams served at breakfast, to the traditional vegetable preserves, cured hams, salamis etc. that often feature at other meals too.

If eating well is an essential ingredient to your perfect holiday – then the Casale Tancia will suit you just fine!

Non-residents are welcome to dine with us – please telephone in advance to reserve if possible.

In keeping with the informal style associated with farmhouse accommodation, we do not have an à la carte menu, but we offer two fixed price fixed menus (A or B) available any time and a special Sunday lunch as follows:

A = €20.00 per person:
- antipasto (a sizeable selection of home produced cold cuts, cheese, vegetables preserved in oil and / or vinegar, etc.)
- tasters of 2 different types of pasta: (one with a tomato based sauce, another vegetable based but with no tomatoes)
- carafe of house wine (red or white) and water
- coffee

B = €20.00 per person:
- first course of 2 pasta tasters (as above)
- main course: meat (from livestock raised by us) and a side vegetable
- carafe of house wine and water
- coffee

Sunday Lunch = €35.00 per person:
- antipasto (as above)
- soup made with beans and / or cereals
- 2 different types of pasta (as above)
- 2 meat “tasters” with a side vegetable
- sweet of the day
- carafe of house wine and water
- coffee and liqueur

There is no choice as such, but menus are based on fresh, available and and seasonal produce.
